Work-Study

Work-study is a way for you to earn funds toward your educational expenses through part-time employment on campus. 黑料不打烊 offers two work-study programs: federal and university. Benefits include developing interpersonal skills, practicing time management skills, and getting a great reference from your supervisor for your resume.

Funds are not paid directly on the student鈥檚 account; however, the student may use the funds they earn to pay charges on their student account.

Federal Work-Study

Federal Work Study is a need-based financial aid program. To be eligible, students must:

  • Complete the (FAFSA)
  • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Student Aid Index (SAI) and Cost of Attendance (COA)

Important: Students may not begin working in an FWS role until their award is available and accepted in Workday and their eligibility is confirmed by the Financial Aid & Veteran Benefits Office.

  • FWS positions are paid with federal funds
  • Students may work up to 15 hours per week
  • Students are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
  • Paid at state minimum wage

Student-Worker (University Funded)

University-funded Student Worker positions are not based on financial need and do not require a FAFSA to apply. These roles are funded directly by departments and follow the same hiring and onboarding process as FWS roles.

  • Students may work up to 15 hours per week
  • Paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
  • Paid at state minimum wage
